Permanent Cosmetic Makeup Frequently Asked Questions

What will I look like immediately following procedure?
I use only state of the art, digital equipment designed specifically for permanent cosmetics which helps to alleviate any downtime to the area being worked on.

The precision and gentleness of the equipment causes surprisingly very little swelling. Some women come on their lunch breaks and head right back to work.

However, because everyone's skin sensitivity is different, each person will have different degrees of swelling.

The week following procedure, the pigmented area will be darker and will fade to a much softer, more natural look and color once it is healed.

When is it completely healed?
Between a week and 10 days everything is back to normal and the color is soft, and natural.

Does it hurt?
Although everyone's pain sensitivity is different, the application of permanent make up causes minor to no discomfort. Topical anesthetics are used during the entire procedure and most clients tell me after the first pass, they feel nothing.

Is the procedure safe?

Your safety and comfort are my highest concern. Permanent makeup is applied using only the highest sanitation and sterilization standards available.

Sterile, single use needles are used on each client and properly disposed of immediately following procedure.

I am gloved and gowned during all procedures abiding by all Board of Health and OSHA regulations.

How long does the procedure take?

Time may vary with each procedure and a lot of time is given prior to procedure to discuss the perfect shape and color.

Once the desired shape is finished in front of the mirror, the procedure can take anywhere from one to one and a half hours.

Can I change it?

I really like each client to think of this as a permanent procedure even though the make up fades and can be adjusted over the years to compensate for our natural aging process and style needs.

This is why I approach each treatment and encourage each client to have a "less is more" attitude; allowing room for change.

There are lasers and removal techniques that can be used but there is never a guarantee that it will work 100%.

What if I had it done somewhere else and I'm not completely happy with the results?
A consultation would be required to make sure you are a candidate for color and shape correction.

I use a safe salt removal process where I have had great success in getting most unwanted pigment out; but it is a process.

Also, I have extensive expertise in color and shape correction and have achieved wonderful results in all corrective permanent cosmetic work.
